UGM central campus phone (the link is just clickable from campus intranet) is served with 1 PABX Alcatel Omni PCM with 600 lines, 7 PABX Hipath from Siemens which is distributed with 250 – 400 lines for each, and VOIP server which allows users to utilize the campus phone. Campus phone uses 4-digit extension (connected to Alcatel) and 5-digit (connected to Siemens and use VOIP). Outside the campus, the 4-digit extension numbers can be registered to DID Jogja 0274-649-1xxx and 0274-649-2xxx. Hence, the 4-digit extension number 1xxx and 2xxx can be contacted directly from the public telephone network with those DID number.

Along with the inherent operation (communication network among universities in Indonesia), the UGM local phone system can be contacted through VOIP phone system without pulse from all universities who is connected to the inherent. The UGM phone integration test with UI and ITB provides a pleased result. From the UGM campus phone system, we can access directly to the local ITB by pressing the number prefix 22 on the local VOIP at ITB.
