PPTIK service for the campus society includes these internet accesses:
a. E-mail and web hosting, computer network application system;
b. Server collocation;
c. Campus phone;
d. Migration to Open Source;
e. System integration;
f. Data entry and validation;
g. Planning and training on Communication and Information Technology;
h. Computer network designing, installation, and maintenance.
This website is in the changing process to ease the updating process. The reading public was invited to share their ideas for the development of the communication and information technology service.
- Plan a standard Communication and Information Technology equipments, operation,making efficient use, and network maintenance;
- Socialize the Communication and Information Technology to the users and the user’scandidate;
- Control the security and the reliability of the network performance, both hardware andsoftware, based on the technology development;
- Manage the Communication and Information Technology service which anticipated onthe University needs and responsive on the user’s complaint;
- Determine the qualification and give a consideration on a recruitment and acceptance ofthe Communication and Information Technology engineers around the university;
- Coordinate and provide network technical consultation periodically to the Computer andInformation Technology’s engineers around Universitas Gadjah Mada;
- Manage and guarantee the fluency of the information and communication access to theUniversity, locally and globally to all users.
The Head’s Duties:
- Lead the implementation of PPTIK’s functions and duties according to article 2 and 3;
- Consult about the plan of the Communication and Information Technology servicedevelopment to the university leaders.
- Arrange the Strategic Plan and Yearly Activity and Budget Plan (RKAT/ RencanaKegiatan dan Anggaran Tahunan) to be legalized by the Rector;
- Convey the yearly report to the university leaders.
- Give a consideration on the recruitment and the acceptance of the Communication andInformation Technology engineers around the university;
