| IGOS Training at SMAN 8 Yogyakarta |

The Ministry of Public's Welfare (Kementrian Koordinator Bidang Kesejahteraan Rakyat/ Kemensra) responded the request of holding an Indonesia Goes Open Source (IGOS) at SMA N 8 Yogyakarta. Therefore, Kemensra collaborated with Kementrian Ristek (Kemenristek) to conduct the training by sending 2 speakers. On this occasion, the team of Pemberdayaan Open Source Software (POSS) UGM was trusted to become speaker in this training. The training that was held in 2 days -Tuesday and Wednesday, November 3-4, 2009- at Multimedia Laboratorium, SMA N 8 Yogyakarta, was not only followed by teachers of SMA N 8 Yogyakarta, but also by the representatives of teachers, employees (IT expert), and students from MAN Gandekan Bantul, MTs Negeri 2, and SMA Negeri 1 Bambanglipuro Bantul. The training was opened by the Head of Dinas Pendidikan Kota Yogyakarta. At the first day, Dr. Tech. Khabib Mustofa , from POSS UGM presented about Free Open Source Software (FOSS) and HAKI, and also introduced to the training's participants about the UGM Independent Operating System, which is UGM Goes Open Source (UGOS). Besides presented by Dr. Tech. Khabib Mustofa, this training was also presented by the representatives of POSS UGM/UGOS, Andrian Dion Priadi and Mandahadi Kusuma.
On the second day, participants were introduced to OpenOffice and invited to practice directly the OpenOffice. Participants seem enthusiastic in participating this training, it appears from their spirit, and many participants who asked about Open Source, UGOS, and OpenOffice. This activity was not only filled by the provision of Open Source material but also performed a film which is made by using Linux. The training that lasted for 2 days covered by the Head of SMA Negeri 8 Yogyakarta.
